Galson-Glenoire Cricket Club are looking to set up a Milo in2CRICKET centre for the local community. Formally known as “Kanga Cricket”, in2CRICKET is a fun way for kids to learn how to play cricket. It incorporates all junior development programs in clubs, school and the community.
All programs are designed to give boys and girls the chance to enjoy in a variety of activities to develop cricket skills and improve physical fitness. Each activity helps kids to develop social skills, sportsmanship and an understanding of the game with an emphasis on fun and involvement.
Making the first steps towards starting an in2CRICKET Centre in Galston-Glenorie, our Vice President and A Reserve Grade Captain Justin Epthorp was involved in promotional visits to both Middle Dural and Hillside Schools. Justin was lucky enough to see every child in each of the schools over the course of the day and gave them a little taste of cricket like they would expect to be doing if they joined the In2Cricket Program. At the end of the visits, the kids were given a Cricket NSW Showbag and a Galston Glenorie Cricket Club flier with the details of the club. You can read more about his visit here. (more…)
